An All-Star team is separate and distinct from the regular Little League season and is governed by separate tournament rules and guidelines as defined in the National Little League Official Regulations and Rules. All-Stars is considered post season tournament play and the emphasis is on developing players with the goal of winning tournaments. All teams begin play at the District level with the possibility, in some cases, to advance to Sectional, Divisional, Regional and National tournaments.

PLAYERS ARE SELECTED BASED ON THEIR ELIGIBILITY, AVAILABILITY AND PLAYING SKILLS.

A player must have participated in the required number of the regular season games to be eligible to play All-Stars.

A player’s age, and therefore the team(s) for which they may be eligible to play, is defined by Little League International and that age criterion can be found on the Little League website (littleleague.org).

To be eligible for All-Star consideration, a player must live within the boundaries of Tustin Western Little League and/or must have attended a school within said boundaries during the 2023-2024 school year.

To be considered for All-Star team selection, a player must complete an All-Star Application and Commitment Form (see links above).

To be considered for an All-Star team, players must commit to certain participation expectations and also must commit to always do their best, stay positive, be respectful of their coaches, teammates, opponents, umpires and anyone else involved in the All-Star experience. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action taken against the player and could result in suspension or dismissal from the team as approved by the Board of Directors of Tustin Western Little League.

Player Participation – In All-Stars, the rules that govern play are different from the Little League regular season. Specifically, the minimum play rules provide no guarantees to any player as to a specific amount of playing time. Players will attend all tournament games and are expected to be part of the team for the duration of tournament play. Participation in practices, team meetings and tournaments will take absolute priority over all other sports that the player decides to participate in during the post season. It is highly recommended that players do not participate in other sports during the All-Star period.

Documentation – In order to participate in tournament play, every player must provide an ORIGINAL certified copy of their Birth Certificate. Additionally, players must provide documents which prove their residence/school is within League boundaries. The information required will be clearly communicated to you and will be gathered by the team Manager upon selection to a team.

Estimated Fees – Estimated fees for All-Stars are outlined below. If you would like to discuss the All-Star fee and/or are unable to make such a payment, please contact the league President as soon as possible to discuss alternatives.
